Matt was hunched over his tiny stove, obsessively tending a skillet, when he felt Gina’s arms encircle his waist. Matt turned to face her, careful to avoid injuring her with his spatula. Gina pulled herself against Matt’s body and pressed her lips to his.
“Hello lady,” Matt said after a lengthy kiss. “Hungry?”
“Ravenous,” she answered as she rested her head on his chest. “Who wouldn’t be after last night?”
Matt laughed gently. “You were unbelievable. You are unbelievable.” He cradled Gina’s face in his hand.
“Where did you come from? What world did you come from? Not my world. I live in a cave. I’m surrounded by walls made of rock. It’s pitch black except for a hazy glow coming from the hole I crawled through to get here. What are you doing here in the cave? Why aren’t you out in the light with the real people?”
Gina kissed Matt again. “I’m right where I want to be.”

“Welcome to the cavern. How about some breakfast?”
